Job Summary
Design and execute detailed manual test cases for retail systems and Point of Sale (POS) environments, covering billing, inventory management, promotions, payments, refunds, and device interactions. Perform functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate end-to-end workflows. Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution while collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery. Translate business requirements into comprehensive test scenarios and identify edge cases to maintain rigorous quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in manual testing
- strong focus on retail and POS systems
- Solid expertise in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience in testing retail applications, including billing, inventory, and transaction workflows
- Experience testing POS environments, including payment systems and peripheral device interactions
- Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and testing best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive and effective test scenarios
- ability to identify edge cases and ensure complete coverage of retail workflows
- ability to troubleshoot issues and provide clear, actionable defect reports
