Senior Manger Engineering – Facilities & Engineering

Senior Manager Engineering – Facilities & Engineering oversees site utility systems and facility infrastructure (steam, chilled water, cooling towers, compressed air, water systems, HVAC, facility automation) and leads reliability, asset lifecycle management, and sustainability initiatives. Responsible for digital transformation efforts (advanced analytics, AI-based tools, predictive monitoring, digital twins, automated reporting), capital project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration with digital, automation, engineering, utility, energy, and sustainability teams. Drives regulatory compliance, safety, operating performance, and continuous improvement; develops budgets and capital plans; mentors engineers and technicians; manages consultants and contractors; and supports abnormal operations and emergencies. Qualifications include advanced engineering degree(s) and managerial experience, plus demonstrated capability in reliability, asset management, project leadership, and multi-disciplinary team development. English and Spanish communication skills, familiarity with reliability frameworks (ISO 55000, ISO 14224, SMRP, etc.), and professional certifications (CMRP, CRL, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are considered advantages. The role is positioned within Amgen’s Facilities & Engineering organization with a focus on decarbonization, energy efficiency, and digital modernization to support site objectives and patient care.
