Job Summary
Lead global product legal for Cross-Border Services by serving as a trusted advisor on complex regulatory, commercial, and risk considerations for money movement solutions. Structure, draft, and negotiate high-value agreements with financial institutions and fintechs while monitoring global regulatory developments to inform policy positions. Develop legal playbooks and frameworks for emerging capabilities like blockchain-based solutions, creating processes and training to enable compliant product development. Lead and mentor a team of product counsels, fostering collaboration and professional growth while managing external counsel when needed. Report to the Assistant General Counsel, CNPF, and partner closely with Product, Technology, Operations, and Commercialization stakeholders to design and launch innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications
- JD (or equivalent)
- active bar membership
- Significant legal experience in payments and product development
- Proven ability to lead global teams
- Expertise in multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in risk management
- Comfort advising on emerging areas of law, such as blockchain-based solutions
- Strong negotiation and advisory skills
- Ability to simplify complexity and drive practical outcomes
