Senior / Managing Consultant – Environmental Impact Assessment

Job Summary
Lead and deliver Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, and environmental permitting projects in accordance with Vietnamese regulations and international standards. Plan and coordinate field surveys, baseline studies, stakeholder engagement activities, and regulatory submissions while managing project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Prepare and review high-quality technical reports, coordinate multidisciplinary teams including air quality, noise, and biodiversity specialists, and liaise with government agencies, lenders, and project developers. Support proposal preparation, technical approach development, and commercial negotiations to identify opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling. Mentor junior consultants, contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives, and foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and professional excellence within the Capital Project Delivery practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Natural Resources Management, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Vietnam's environmental impact assessment framework
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
- Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium-sized projects and work independently
- Strong consulting and project management skills
- Sound technical judgment and problem-solving ability
- Effective communication and report-writing skills
- Commercial awareness and client focus
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to ERM's health, safety, and sustainability values
- Strong understanding of international standards, including IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, and lender requirements
- Exceptional project management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preparing and managing environmental studies and technical reports
- Experience leading client engagements, managing project teams, and contributing to business development
- One or more of the following areas: Air quality and atmospheric emissions, Noise and vibration assessment, Water resources and water quality, Marine and coastal environments, Climate change and GHG assessment, Environmental permitting and compliance, Industrial pollution prevention and control, GIS and spatial analysis, Cumulative impact assessment
