Senior Manager, Utility Wildfire Mitigation

Job Summary
Develop and implement wildfire mitigation programs, including Wildfire Mitigation Plans, Public Safety Power Shutoff plans, and Ignition Management Plans. Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams across client engagements to manage scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables while ensuring regulatory compliance. Advise utility clients on risk reduction strategies and represent EDM at industry conferences and stakeholder meetings. Mentor technical staff, review technical reports, and support proposal development to expand consulting services. Occasional overnight travel required for client meetings and field sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Emergency Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- 10+ years of experience in utility wildfire mitigation, utility operations, resiliency, emergency management, risk management, or related fields
- Experience working directly for or consulting with electric utilities
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing utility wildfire mitigation programs
- Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting or technical teams
- Strong understanding of wildfire mitigation strategies, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and project management software
- Occasional travel required, including overnight travel
- This position includes a combination of office, remote, and field work
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related technical field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Business development and client relationship management experience
- Experience presenting to utility executives, regulators, and public agencies
