Job Summary
Senior Manager, Transportation leads outbound transportation and logistics operations across the network, governs performance, and partners with Store Operations, field leadership, Distribution Centers, Finance, and third-party logistics providers to deliver service excellence, cost efficiency, and scalable transportation solutions. Focus areas include defining KPIs and scorecards, leveraging transportation systems and data analytics to drive accountability and visibility, optimizing carrier and provider relationships, supporting sourcing initiatives and negotiations across asset-based, brokered, and dedicated models, and developing high-performing teams to execute initiatives that strengthen transportation performance and support enterprise objectives. The role requires collaboration across cross-functional teams, strategic planning, budget management, forecasting, and the ability to travel up to 25%. The position reports to the Director, Supply Chain Domestic Logistics and is based in Bethesda, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 7–10 years of experience in logistics operations across multiple transportation modes
- 5+ years’ experience managing domestic freight and leading logistics teams
- Proven success in driving cost reduction and service improvement initiatives
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
