Job Summary

Senior Manager, Training & Capability Development responsible for architecting and operationalizing a dual-delivery training model (embedded peer trainers and dedicated professional trainers) across manufacturing and support functions. Own training system standards, qualification/certification frameworks, and audit readiness to align workforce capability with quality, capacity, and operational excellence requirements. Build rapid skill acquisition frameworks, enable trainers from manufacturing to transfer skills, and deploy professional trainers to raise training rigor and consistency. Partner with Operations to align training with ramp needs, NPI, and workforce capacity planning. Own the training technology ecosystem (LMS, skill tracking) and define metrics for time-to-proficiency, certification/skill attainment, and training effectiveness. Lead the transition to a shared training ownership model across Operations, HR, Quality, and Continuous Improvement, embedding company values and enhancing engagement, retention, and career progression. The role requires collaboration with global manufacturing operations, experience in regulated environments, and a focus on data-driven continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
  • Minimum 7 years in manufacturing training systems, workforce capability, or operations leadership (preferred)
  • Experience implementing structured, scalable training systems in regulated environments
  • Deep understanding of on-the-job and peer-based training models and competency-based development
  • FDA/ISO/compliance-driven training requirements
  • Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or similarly regulated manufacturing
  • LMS and digital training tools familiarity
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (preferred)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable training systems in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Ability to build data-driven training disciplines with metrics (time-to-proficiency, certification rates, skill coverage)
  • Strong collaboration with Operations, Quality, HR, andLean/CI teams
  • Experience with LMS and digital training tools; familiarity with ERP systems
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification and experience in global manufacturing
  • Proven ability to lead and scale training programs, including peer-based and professional-led models
  • Excellent communication skills (B2+ English) and stakeholder management
