Job Summary

Design, implement, and administer base pay, incentive pay, and recognition programs while conducting market pricing and benchmarking studies to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity. Manage the annual salary planning process, including merit increases and market adjustments, in partnership with Finance and executive leadership. Lead the design, administration, and ongoing evaluation of employee health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state regulations. Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing for all employees, establishing policies, controls, and procedures while monitoring vendor relationships and system enhancements. Support internal and external audits related to compensation, payroll, and benefits programs, maintaining policies and documentation to support organizational compliance and risk management. Lead and develop compensation, payroll, benefits, and leave administration team members, establishing department goals and performance metrics. Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting related to total rewards programs to improve decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, or total rewards
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing compensation, benefits, payroll, or HR operations teams
  • Strong knowledge of compensation design, market pricing, and salary administration
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices and applicable wage and hour regulations
  • Deep knowledge of employee benefits laws and compliance requirements
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong project management and process improvement capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS (Workday preferred), payroll systems, and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing, distribution, or similar operational environments
  • Experience with salary planning, market benchmarking, benefits renewals, payroll administration, and vendor management
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
