Job Summary
Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations while performing engineering calculations, laboratory experiments, and computational modeling. Manage multidisciplinary teams, execute testing programs, and prepare written reports, proposals, and presentations. Cultivate client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the Thermal Sciences Practice. Gather technical information from engineering, legal, and industry professionals to convey conclusions. Domestic and international travel is required for client work and site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- practical and theoretical understanding of combustion, heat transfer and fluid mechanics
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States
- No immigration sponsorship or processing required
- 7+ years of relevant consulting experience in process safety, decarbonization, and/or fire protection engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) Licensure, or ability to obtain a P.E. License
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to gather information from, and convey technical conclusions to, individuals in engineering, the legal profession, business and industry
- Proven track record conducting hazard identification and analysis studies and incident investigations via any recognized methodology
- Domestic and international travel will likely be required
- Most assignments will require the ability to gather information from, and convey technical conclusions to, individuals in engineering, the legal profession, business and industry
