Job Summary
Partner with Architecture and InfoSec to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance requirements while leading design and implementation of resilient service mesh, observability platforms, and container orchestration at scale. Define and own the roadmap for platform engineering, drive standardization of technology practices, and develop KPIs to measure performance outcomes for senior leadership. Guide complex, large-scale deployments across multi-cloud environments and maintain hands-on engagement in architecture decisions, performance optimization, and incident resolution. Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, manage resource allocation and succession planning, and act as a senior escalation point for enterprise-critical delivery issues. Serve as the enterprise Subject Matter Expert on Site Reliability Engineering and cloud-native delivery models, evangelizing a security-as-code and automation-first culture across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years total experience in infrastructure and operations space
- Bachelor's in computer science, technical diploma or equivalent
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Expert knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing cloud-native application stacks
- Advanced expertise in containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), configuration management (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Proven experience scaling infrastructure capabilities in regulated industries (financial services)
- Experience with ITSM, incident management, compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO, etc.)
