Job Summary
Provide technical accounting guidance and support for complex transactions including debt/equity financing, business combinations, and embedded derivatives analysis. Prepare technical accounting memos for standards such as ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 606, and ASC 805 while researching, interpreting, and implementing GAAP and IFRS regulations. Develop, write, and maintain accounting policies and procedures, work closely with departments like Revenue and FP&A, and serve as a liaison to external auditors and valuation specialists. Monitor new FASB pronouncements, advise management on reporting trends, and implement best approaches for changes. Lead and mentor team members, foster a collaborative finance culture, and leverage IT tools to automate workflows and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA designation
- 8+ years of experience in leading technical accounting
- Big Four experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements
- Proven ability to research and interpret complex accounting issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite
- Experience with financial reporting tools
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with IFRS
- Experience with international accounting standards
- Prior experience in a technology or software company
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to drive initiatives to completion
- US person status (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
