Job Summary
Lead the Packaging Strategic Procurement team across North America, managing annual budgets, COGS improvement, and supply chain execution projects. Act as a Subject Matter Expert to develop category strategies, negotiate multi-million dollar contracts, and mitigate disruption risks through robust Master Services Agreements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Ops, and Finance to approve supplier allocations and influence packaging execution strategy. Report monthly financial performance, analyze variance drivers, and prioritize action items to ensure cost savings roadmap delivery. Requires 5+ years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and ability to travel up to 25% for supplier visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Legal, or similar)
- 5+ years of experience as a procurement/sourcing lead
- Knowledge of the strategic sourcing process/methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret commercial contract language
- Experience building supply chains
- Experience developing creative solutions to unlock new capabilities
- Flexibility to travel to suppliers, production sites, and other HelloFresh office locations, including internationally (up to 25%)
