Job Summary
Prepare the Fund's annual strategic posture recommendation and develop a rolling three-year Strategic Plan for Board endorsement. Maintain the long-term corporate strategy, including pillars, vision, and goals, while ensuring alignment across all Domains. Conduct deep-dive root cause analysis when performance deviates from targets and drive remediation to achieve agreed outcomes. Lead the team to operate according to Fund Policies and Standards, ensuring legislative and regulatory requirements are met. This 18-month max term role reports to the Principal, Strategy & Performance. AustralianSuper requires a candidate with tertiary qualifications in commerce or finance and experience delivering commercial strategies in large, complex environments.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, business or related fields
- Experience developing and delivering commercial strategies within a corporate strategy function or as a management consultant
- Demonstrated experience and interest in strategic delivery, transformation or business planning within large & complex environments
- High level analytical and problem-solving experience and skills
- High level communication, influencing, stakeholder management and networking abilities
- Sound understanding of the finance/superannuation industry and its participants
- Sound understanding of ethical, commercial business practices
- Demonstrated capacity to work in high pressure and complex environments
- Ability to lead, develop and motivate a highly specialised team
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency status
