Job Summary
Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Initiatives (Intergovernmental & Agency Relations) leads a multidisciplinary team within the City Manager’s Office to advance intergovernmental priorities, agency governance, and strategic initiatives. The role provides strategic guidance to senior leadership, political staff, and elected officials, translating policy developments into actionable guidance, and coordinating across municipal, provincial, and federal governments, City agencies, boards, and corporations. Responsibilities include oversight of complex, high-profile initiatives from inception through implementation, fostering collaboration and accountability, and delivering results in a fast-moving, politically sensitive public-sector environment. The position supports cross-functional collaboration, staff development, and inclusive leadership while guiding governance frameworks and ensuring alignment with corporate priorities. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in public administration, policy, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
