Job Summary
Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Governance for Value-Based Services (VBS) leads cross-functional execution of VBC initiatives, partnering with VBS leadership and stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. Responsible for structured problem-solving, program management, governance routines, executive communications, and optimization of VBC operations and tools. The role drives end-to-end execution from problem identification through implementation, coordinating with VBC Analytics, Network/Contracting, Clinical, Finance, and Market teams to ensure progress, risk identification, and timely decision-making, while delivering concise executive updates and materials and enabling effective leadership decisions. Strong emphasis on simplifying complex concepts, aligning stakeholders, and delivering measurable results in healthcare value-based care contexts; requires experience in healthcare/payer environments, governance, and cross-functional program leadership. Desired Bachelor’s degree and experience in VBC, analytics, contracting, and Medicare/Medicaid domains; clear track record of governance, reporting, and executive-ready communication.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in project/program management, strategic operations, or consulting in a complex, matrixed environment
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably within payer or value-based care environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Strong ability to simplify complex concepts and drive stakeholder alignment
- Proven track record of delivering executive-level communications and materials
- Experience with Value-Based Care models, provider performance management, or contracting
- Familiarity with VBC analytics, reporting, and performance improvement frameworks
- Experience supporting Medicare and/or Medicaid lines of business
- Experience building or operating within governance and management processes
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of work experience and education
