Job Summary
Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships leads a portfolio of funders and prospects to cultivate philanthropic support for climate and clean energy initiatives. Responsibilities include developing and implementing fundraising plans, managing donor engagement, drafting funder-facing materials, coordinating meetings and events, tracking follow-up items, preparing background research for funders, and collaborating with program colleagues to align funder interests with USEF’s mission. The role requires strong relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, proactive communications, and proficiency with office software and donor databases. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships, the position is full-time and remote-first with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated relevant work experience, such as fundraising, partnerships, and relationship management in a nonprofit, foundation, or business setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with a diverse set of donors or partners.
- Experience communicating and collaborating with people from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures, including high-profile individuals and institutions.
- Experience working on multiple projects concurrently, with diverse stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of climate change or clean energy issues is desired.
- A commitment to contributing meaningfully to a workplace where equity and inclusion are core values.
- Proven oral and written communications skills.
- Technical skills: Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferably in a Mac environment. Familiarity with Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets, as well as Box. Experience using cloud-based relational database systems, such as Salesforce, is preferred.
