Senior Manager, Strategic Finance & Business Analytics, Polymarket US
On-siteNew York City, New York, United States or New York, United States
Job Summary
Maintain and update the US revenue and gross margin forecast weekly, decomposing payments, fraud, and incentive costs line by line to explain margin movements. Build and refine cohort models tracking customer behavior from acquisition through retention, while owning the weekly KPI reporting pack for US leadership. Partner with growth and product teams to size new market opportunities, translating assumptions into funded account projections and volume estimates. Take analyses from initial framing through final recommendation, presenting clearly to leadership until decisions are made. This hands-on role owns the economics of the US business end-to-end, requiring a track record of building driver-based financial models from scratch.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years in strategic finance or business analytics
- track record of doing the modeling work yourself, not just managing it
- Demonstrated experience building driver-based financial models from scratch that other people can actually use and maintain
- Deep familiarity with transaction-level unit economics
- ability to decompose margin by segment, channel, or payment method
- ability to explain what is driving the difference in margin
- Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment where the data is imperfect and the questions keep changing
- Experience defining KPIs
- experience building reporting infrastructure
- creating dashboards that a finance or strategy team relies on week to week, not just for a one-time presentation
- A specific example of analysis you produced that changed a leadership decision on pricing, market expansion, or resource allocation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience at a fintech, crypto, or marketplace company where payments, fraud, and transaction economics were core to the business
- Hands-on ability to write SQL
- ability to build self-serve dashboards in tools like Looker, Metabase, or similar
