Job Summary
Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Operations leads multiple workstreams across program ideation, go-to-market, and implementation with internal and external partners. Drives cross-functional analysis of current state to identify new opportunities, facilitates planning and execution activities with operations and lines of business leaders, monitors progress and surfaces issues, and provides rapid, strategic advisory and execution support to Aetna Business Operations and lines of business including Commercial and Medicaid. Requires 7+ years in healthcare/insurance or completion of a management program, strong Excel/PowerPoint data-structuring and synthesis, executive communication, and proven capability to drive strategic planning and disciplined execution across matrixed teams.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in health care, insurance, or related field or completion of General Management Development Program (GMDP) with a combination of relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with strategic business planning or program / project management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to clearly structure information, perform data analysis, and synthesize insights
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise and decision-oriented messaging for senior leadership
- Demonstrated ability to drive and model strategic planning and rigorous execution oversight in a consistent manner
- Strong relationship management and experience collaborating with cross functional teams
- Education Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of professional work experience and education.
