Job Summary
Senior Engineering Manager leads software and/or firmware engineering teams, owning execution of major product programs with delivery commitments. Provides technical and architectural leadership across embedded firmware, Linux-based systems, and supporting software layers. Partners with Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Operations, and peer Engineering Managers to align technical execution with business goals. Drives adoption of best practices in software quality, automated testing, CI/CD, secure development, and operational readiness. Responsible for coaching and development of engineers, performance discussions, and succession planning. Requires 12–15 years of software/firmware experience and 5+ years of engineering management, with strong systems-level software background (C/C++, Rust). Location: Sandy, UT; Hybrid work arrangement. Required Qualifications
- 12–15 years of professional experience in software and/or firmware development with strong Linux-based or embedded systems background
- 5+ years engineering management experience leading teams delivering complex production-grade software products
- strong technical credibility in systems-level software development (C/C++, Rust)
- demonstrated ability to manage senior individual contributors and/or subordinate managers
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence cross-functionally
