Job Summary
Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Cedar Rapids, IA responsible for training and guiding engineers, coordinating work schedules, developing budgets for software engineering activities, establishing problem-solving procedures, and ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables. Leads ~10 engineers (Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, Engineer II) and interfaces with avionics, flight-deck systems, and defense customers. Requires DO-178C experience, real-time embedded software in C/C++, model-based development, requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, validation, and system testing; strong leadership and project planning skills; on-site role with international travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field; at least 10 years of progressive software engineering experience in Aerospace/Defense OR master’s degree with at least 7 years of experience; DO-178C certification with at least 4 years of related avionics software lifecycle experience; 4+ years leading/participating in real-time embedded software development using C/C++; 3+ years in project planning and leadership for mid-to-large teams; U.S. work authorization (Non-US Persons not eligible for sponsorship)
