Job Summary
Manage multiple engineering teams responsible for building scalable, reliable, and high-impact systems that power Indeed's products and services. Set technical direction, drive execution of large-scale initiatives, and ensure teams deliver high-quality solutions that improve experiences for job seekers and employers. Partner with product, engineering, and data partners to align priorities, solve complex technical challenges, and establish best-in-class engineering practices including code quality, system design, and operational excellence. Mentor engineering managers and senior engineers to develop the next generation of technical leaders while shaping long-term technical strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience (with Bachelor's degree)
- Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience
- PhD with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Significant prior success as a Software Engineer working on challenging problems
- Experience with service-oriented architectures
- Experience with APIs
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with NoSQL
- Proven ability to coach talent, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
- Dedicated sense of ownership as a technical and product leader
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and business audiences
