Job Summary
Lead the build-out and operations of complex distributed systems at scale while technically directing team performance, monitoring bottlenecks, and establishing KPIs to drive process improvements. Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team, guiding them through strategic pivots and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, platform, and design teams to deliver solutions, manage internal and external risks, and build effective relationships with partners and customers. Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation, presenting technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on engineering and software development
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud development in GCP, along with expertise in building applications using Angular and Java frameworks
- 4+ years recruiting, managing, and retaining a high-performing team of software development professionals in an agile environment
- 1+ year using generative AI as an integrated component in software solutions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience in Angular, API Platform and full cycle development end-to-end, from strategy to execution
- Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies (Azure, GCP), engineering frameworks and tools
- Ability to diagram complex software architectures and communicate complex engineering ideas to non-technical stakeholders both visually and verbally
- Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS), engineering frameworks and tools
- Understanding and familiarity with CI/CD, cloud devops, containers (kubernetes/Docker, etc.), and GCP managed services
- Experience in large Retail, Pharmacy, a plus
