Job Summary
Senior Manager, Software Delivery & Operations leads cross-functional program planning and end-to-end release management for a ~50-person software engineering organization, coordinating Cloud Engineering and App Development, mitigating risks, and driving data-driven delivery improvements. Responsibilities include planning ceremonies (quarterly planning, PI planning, sprint reviews), building release calendars, ensuring release criteria are met, managing resource capacity and budgets, defining delivery health metrics and dashboards, and mentoring 1–2 direct reports. The role emphasizes process discipline, continuous improvement of release processes, and collaboration with leadership to deliver reliable software releases and improved time-to-market. Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, cross-functional communication, and program management in a software product company is required; PMP/SAFe or equivalent certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software program management experience in a software product company operating at scale
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure DevOps (or equivalent - boards, pipelines, release management)
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience supporting engineering organizations of 30+ people across multiple teams
- Strong cross-functional communication skills — equally effective with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership
- Track record of improving delivery processes with measurable results
- Experience managing build and release processes in a CI/CD environment
