Job Summary
Develop and execute Etihad's global social media strategy aligned with brand and commercial objectives, creating a comprehensive playbook to drive engagement and win in competitive digital landscapes. Lead a team of specialists while managing agency partnerships, ensuring real-time coverage for high-profile events and influencer collaborations. Oversee content calendars, optimize performance through analytics, and translate social metrics into actionable business insights for senior stakeholders. Define brand strategy across channels to maintain a consistent, premium presence while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the social media function.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content strategy
- Experience operating in complex, global organisations with multiple stakeholders and market considerations
- Demonstrated success leading, inspiring, and developing high-performing social media teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative and proactive mindset
- Strong strategic acumen
- Deep understanding of how social media contributes across the marketing funnel
- Experience using data, insights, and performance metrics to inform decision-making
- Proven ability to lead complex projects
- Experience managing and maximising relationships with creative, social media, influencer, and media agency partners
- Strong organisational skills
- Advanced knowledge of social media publishing, measurement, analytics, and social listening platforms
- Strong understanding of paid social strategies and digital performance marketing
- Familiarity with SEO principles
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within aviation, travel, hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle brands
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator
- Arabic language proficiency
