Job Summary
Senior Manager, Site Operations to lead onsite deployment execution for a major customer program in the Hagerstown, MD area. Responsible for site readiness, installation, commissioning, training, operational handoff, and customer adoption; coordinates across Customer Success, Product, Field Engineering, Field Services, Support, Commercial, and customer operations teams to ensure successful deployment and long-term operational success. Drive structured tracking of owners, milestones, risks, blockers, and escalations; review SOWs and engineering documentation; audit field execution against requirements; manage deployment punch lists and closure; validate completion evidence and signoffs; identify gaps between reported status and actual readiness; track schedule performance and deployment readiness metrics; escalate issues with recommendations; partner with customer operations leaders on workflow design, staffing, throughput objectives, and system utilization; capture lessons learned for continuous improvement. Requirements include 10+ years in complex technical deployments, leadership at senior manager level, strong literacy across robotics and industrial systems, ability to interpret technical documentation, and willingness to be onsite during deployment and stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading complex technical deployments involving robotics, industrial automation, warehouse automation, material handling systems, infrastructure programs, or related environments
- Experience operating at a Senior Manager, Site Execution Lead, Technical Program Manager, Deployment Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership level
- Strong technical literacy across robotics, automation, controls, electrical and mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or comparable technologies
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, commissioning plans, acceptance criteria, and project documentation
- Experience managing vendors, systems integrators, contractors, field service providers, and installation teams
- Proven ability to assess technical readiness and operational readiness independently
- Strong project execution, risk management, and escalation management skills
- Excellent communication skills with technical teams, customer stakeholders, site leadership, and executive audiences
- Demonstrated ability to balance operational objectives, customer needs, safety requirements, and deployment timelines
- Willingness to be onsite regularly throughout deployment, commissioning, and stabilization activities
