Job Summary
Senior Manager leads Security and IT Operations at Automox, overseeing SOC 2/ProdSec/CorpSec and IT Operations programs. Responsible for turning security and IT strategy into concrete roadmaps, budgeting, incident response playbooks, governance, risk, and compliance activities, and KPI-driven improvements. Manages a team of seven direct reports across two functions, mentors engineers and helpdesk staff, and partners with Engineering, Product, DevOps, People Ops, and Finance on cross-functional programs. Emphasizes a security-first posture, automation with AI tooling, and a distributed, remote-ready work environment. Requires 6+ years in security engineering/operations and 3+ years of people management. Salary range listed is base pay with comprehensive compensation package; eligibility for visa sponsorship is not offered.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in security engineering or security operations with hands-on IT operations responsibility
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Proven track record turning strategy into execution with measurable outcomes
- SOC 2 experience and hands-on incident management
- Modern IdP and cloud IAM experience
- MDM for macOS and Windows
- SaaS administration and collaboration suite administration
- Linux experience
- Ability to use AI coding tools to accelerate automation and review outputs for correctness and security
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, and Python
- Strong architectural and tooling judgment
- Excellent leadership and people-skills with data-driven mindset
