Senior Manager, Security

Job Summary

Coordinate systemwide security operations in accordance with International Civil Aviation and TTCAA requirements. Ensure safety and security of passengers, employees, equipment, and property while supporting company security strategy initiatives to counteract fines, illegal substance transport, and pilferage. Conduct regular risk and threat assessments, initiate special measures during increased risk periods, and manage station start-up projects including mandatory security training at line stations. Liaise with local and international authorities, review security training programs and procedures for compliance, and ensure periodic audits and corrective actions for nonconformance reports. Mitigate acts of unlawful interference and deliver written reports and briefings to senior leadership. Based at the head office in Port of Spain with potential travel to other Caribbean jurisdictions.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Business Management or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation security or extensive training in the security field
  • At least five (5) years must be in a senior leadership position
  • Experience in the management / development of security procedures and Training Programme manuals
  • Experience in the review and management of contracts
  • Knowledgeable on regulatory and law enforcement requirements in our key jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of Emergency Planning and Response for Airlines and Airports
  • Confident in the delivery of written reports, risk assessments and briefings to senior leadership
  • Competency in Security Risk assessment and mitigation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent decision-making skills under pressure
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and planning
  • Strong customer orientation, while focusing on profitability and productivity
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • The ability to influence others and sound leadership skills with an innovative mindset
  • The successful candidate will be based at the company's head office in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
  • You must be legally authorized to live and work in Trinidad & Tobago
  • You may be required to travel to other Caribbean Airline jurisdictions
  • Suitable Applicants will be subject to a Pre-employment Medical, including Drug and Alcohol testing and a full Criminal Security and Background Investigation
