Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Job Summary

Lead end-to-end preparation, review, and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, including the annual proxy statement. Own key components of external reporting, such as financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and disclosure checklists, while researching complex accounting matters and monitoring new U.S. GAAP standards. Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and prepare materials for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors. Oversee equity accounting, stock-based compensation, and SOX compliance by evaluating control design and partnering with stakeholders to improve processes. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and coordinate with third-party advisors on corporate tax matters. Establish and manage the quarterly and annual reporting calendar, driving timely resolution of review comments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • active CPA license
  • 8 or more years of progressive accounting experience
  • public accounting experience
  • public-company industry experience
  • biotechnology or life sciences experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • SEC reporting requirements knowledge
  • financial statement presentation knowledge
  • disclosure practices knowledge
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • technical accounting memoranda preparation experience
