Job Summary
Senior Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect at CHANEL in New York City, hybrid work model. Lead the technical architecture and integration strategy for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, set standards, supervise data design, ensure release quality, optimize Automations and personalization, and mentor developers/marketers. Drive data integrity and compliant data flows across CRM, client analytics, and marketing platforms; build APIs, data connectors, and Looker/BI solutions; lead cross-team collaboration with stakeholders and ensure scalable campaign execution using SFMC tools (Automation Studio, Journey Builder), data models, and robust data governance. Minimum 7 years in SFMC/marketing tech, strong communication, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, luxury retail environment. Location options include NYC with a 3-days-on-site hybrid schedule or Piscataway, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on technical architecture experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience leading product evolution and guiding integration and data design decisions
- Strong understanding of marketing data processing including data segmentation, transformation, and audience management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with data integration tools and processes for connecting Salesforce Marketing Cloud to other systems (CRM, web platforms, POS, analytics tools)
- Experience with API integrations, ETL processes, and third-party data connectors relevant to marketing platforms
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR) and best practices in managing customer data securely
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise with 7+ years preferred
- Salesforce Certifications – Marketing Cloud Administrator strongly preferred
