Job Summary

Technical management of ride and/or show systems, including specification, bid/award, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing of Set/Scenic, Props, and related equipment. Oversees budget and schedule, provides vendor management and contract oversight, ensures safety and quality per Universal specifications, and coordinates with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors. Creates scope of work, leads supplier contracts, and maintains environmental, health & safety responsibilities. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and theme-park/scenic engineering experience. The role may involve direct reports and in-field activities across show and ride systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field (e.g., Technical Theater, Architecture, Set/Scenic Design, Building Construction) or equivalent demonstrated skill and experience
  • Experience in direct theme park-specific technical/engineering roles supporting scenic elements or related technical field
  • Vendor management experience with significant in-field installation experience; contract management experience preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage complex tasks across multiple vendors
  • Strong scheduling, contract management, and leadership capabilities
  • Proven ability to oversee design, production, installation, testing, and acceptance of show/ride systems; safety compliance per Universal specifications
