Job Summary
Senior Manager, Retail Strategy & Marketing at the Portland Trail Blazers leads and shapes the retail business across digital and in-arena channels. Owns retail marketing narratives, integrated campaigns, product storytelling, and cross-functional prioritization to drive revenue growth. Partners with retail buyers on assortment and sell-through, steers campaigns for RipCityClothing.com, and leads internal teams including the Retail Marketing Coordinator. Manages budgets, vendor relationships, and data-driven performance analysis; collaborates with BI, Customer Insights, and Digital teams to optimize outcomes. Requires at least 5 years in retail strategy or integrated channel management, with experience in both digital and physical retail, and strong project-management and mentorship capabilities. Flex hours including evenings, weekends, and game nights are expected. This role emphasizes brand storytelling, fan engagement, cross-functional leadership, and strategic vision for retail growth across channels.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in retail strategy, business planning, or integrated channel management; strong foundation in both digital and physical retail
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and mentoring team members
- Track record of developing and delivering retail marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels
- Strong understanding of ecommerce operations, digital content, and the online customer journey
- Strong project management, organizational, and collaboration skills with ability to balance multiple priorities
- Proficiency in using data to measure performance, optimize campaigns, and inform business decisions
- Creative, customer-focused approach with passion for brand storytelling and fan engagement
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and game nights
