Job Summary
Lead the AMER Response Threat Operations team by providing strategic direction, overseeing 24x7 threat monitoring, and driving complete attack lifecycle analysis across global regions. Execute incident response activities including event correlation, remediation planning, and containment while implementing proactive countermeasures and innovative security solutions. Manage talent through performance management, coaching, and workforce planning to ensure the team possesses technical capabilities for evolving threat landscapes. Partner with CISO leadership to define long-term vision, execute strategic programs using Agile principles, and communicate security impacts to business and technology stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or PhD with 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or a related field
- Advanced level understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements
- Advanced level understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Advanced level knowledge of the Windows operating system, system utilities, admin functions
- Significant experience with open-source security analysis tools such as Wireshark, SNORT, Splunk, Kali Linux, Sift, REMnux etc.
- Experience with Computer programming and scripting languages such as C, Python, Java, etc.
- Leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to write and verbally articulate industry terminology to interact at a technical level, management level and senior executive level
- Organizational, planning, and administrative abilities and the ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach
- Standard work schedule & occasional travel required (10-20% as required)
- Permanent work authorization in the United States
