Job Summary
Senior Manager, R&D to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team (Electronics, Firmware, Optical, and Mechanical Engineers) in developing next-generation sensor technologies and industrial automation products. Define technology roadmaps, partner with Product Management to translate requirements into technical specifications and business cases, and oversee design reviews from concept through validation and product launch. Drive cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to accelerate commercialization and operational readiness. Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, and performance, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Requires a degree in Electronic Engineering, Optoelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5–7 years of relevant experience with hands-on leadership in product development; strong electronics, electromechanical, and sensor-technology expertise; experience with simulation/analysis tools (P-Spice, FEA); and strong English and Mandarin language skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electronic Engineering, Optoelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant industry experience in product development, engineering design, or industrial technology environments
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex product development projects
- Strong technical expertise in analog and digital electronics, electromechanical systems, and product design methodologies
- Experience in sensor technologies, optical systems, industrial automation, or related technologies is highly desirable
- Knowledge of simulation and engineering analysis tools such as P-Spice, finite element analysis (FEA), or equivalent software
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical innovation, customer requirements, and business objectives
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese and professional proficiency in English is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, project management, and people leadership capabilities
