Job Summary
Senior Manager, Renewables & Carbon Procurement based in Melbourne leads sourcing, negotiation, and execution of renewable energy PPAs and carbon procurement across APAC. Responsible for turning market opportunities into executed transactions aligned with AirTrunk’s energy strategy, regulatory obligations, and long-term cost objectives. Manages renewable energy opportunities (solar, wind, hybrid, storage-linked projects), leads RFPs and bilateral negotiations for renewable offtake, structures and negotiates PPAs (physical, virtual, sleeved, portfolio structures), drives transactions from term sheet through contract signature, and sources/contracts International Carbon Credits (ICC) in Singapore. Interfaces with developers, retailers, brokers, legal, finance, risk, and sustainability teams; performs market analysis, pricing benchmarks, and risk assessment; supports internal approvals through financial modelling and business case development.
Required Qualifications
- Has a relevant degree in Energy, Engineering, Business or a related field
- Min. 5 years of relevant working experience with proven experience in negotiating and executing PPAs and/or carbon contracts
- Background in renewable energy markets, carbon markets, energy trading, or project development
- Strong in communication, commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills
- Understanding of renewable project economics and key PPA risk drivers
- Familiarity with compliance carbon frameworks and regulated credit mechanisms (especially in the context of Singapore)
- Ability to manage multiple live transactions in fast-moving markets
