Job Summary
Senior Manager, Production Underwriter responsible for providing operational support to distribution channels to ensure smooth execution of sales processes. Focused on underwriting and risk assessment, developing underwriting guidelines, negotiating quotations, building relationships with intermediaries and customers, drafting policy terms, maintaining accurate records, providing training on underwriting procedures, and collaborating with actuarial, underwriting, claims, and product development teams. Requires a university degree (or equivalent) with extensive experience in general insurance underwriting, distribution, and operations; strong leadership and analytical skills; licensing-related qualifications (IIQE, IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF) considered an advantage; HK-based role within AIA/Blue Cross in Hong Kong.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in insurance industry
- Sound knowledge in general Insurance underwriting, distribution and operation management
- Strong leadership, analytical and decision making skills
- University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines, or Diploma in insurance or related disciplines
- Fulfilment of the fit and proper criteria of the Insurance Authority for licensing as an individual insurance agent of the Company
- Minimum education and qualifications requirements including passes in IIQE Paper 1, 2, 3 & 5
- Qualified IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF (Senior Associate) qualifications or other related professional insurance qualifications an advantage
