Job Summary
Lead production control and material management activities to ensure effective planning, coordination, and flow of materials meeting production schedules and customer commitments. Manage a team responsible for inventory management, shortage resolution, production scheduling support, and cross-functional coordination across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, and program management organizations. Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures while overseeing inventory processes including material accuracy, cycle counts, shortages, expediting, and excess control. Analyze production, inventory, and supply data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and support lean operations. Respond to all escalation issues with a high sense of urgency, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in managing or leading people or teams
- 10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
- 5+ years of Materials Management or Supply Chain experience
- 5+ years of training or experience using Lean Manufacturing principles
- 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- Must be a 'U.S. Person' (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
- Demonstrated ability to create shared vision and translate into strategy Implementation
- Demonstrated capacity to proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
- Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand
