Job Summary
Oversee designated shift operations in the Prepared Foods Division, ensuring high production, quality, and yields while maintaining the safest working environment. Guide the team through pre-shift stretches, rotate workstations, and determine manpower needs to ensure all workstations are staffed before production starts. Lead a high-performing team by hiring, training, and evaluating production supervisors, while enforcing company policies, federal meat inspection, and OSHA requirements. Interpret and enforce safety and food safety standards, conduct monthly safety meetings, and ensure all machinery passes USDA inspection. Solve problems effectively with department heads to meet production quality and metric goals, maintaining accurate records and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' related experience in manufacturing
- Food manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Essential understanding and control of the production process
- Maintenance skills
- Shipping/receiving knowledge

- Ability to oversee entire plant operation in the absence of the Plant Manager
