Job Summary
Set the vision for a team of Product Data Scientists and lead execution of company-wide optimizations, modeling, and data analysis. Analyze operational and vehicle data to enhance Waymo Driver performance, support rapid geographic expansion, and maintain continuous freedom of operation. Act as a key thought partner to senior leadership to align cross-functional stakeholders around a shared vision while managing prioritization of resources across product, engineering, operations, and strategy teams. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to a Product Data Science Lead.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of experience with Machine Learning models and experimentations
- Statistical knowledge/data intuition
- Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems
- Coding skills and experience: Python,SQL and Data science related coding experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Product and Software Engineering teams
- Prior experience building and managing both Data Scientists and Data Analysts
- Marketplace business experience
