Job Summary
Lead strategic procurement and sourcing operations across DOMAN's Canadian and US functions, optimizing costs and mitigating supply risks. Analyze monthly purchasing and spend reports to identify trends, then develop strategies to realize cost savings and operational efficiencies. Manage supplier relationships, lead vendor selection and contract negotiations, and establish KPIs to measure supply chain effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement with inventory objectives and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of procurement, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management practices
- Demonstrated ability to identify and track cost savings, mitigate supply risks, and drive value through sourcing initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with spend analysis and data-driven decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization without direct reporting authority
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations and negotiate with suppliers
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Professional procurement designation (SCMP, CPSM, CPPB, or equivalent)
