Job Summary
Oversee accounting for the complete contract lifecycle in North America, including preliminary review of draft agreements, Controllership approvals, and ongoing close monitoring. Perform technical accounting reviews for vendor rebates, penalties, and accruals, while synthesizing information to drive conclusions across Controllership. Manage month-end close activities, prepare summaries for CFO presentations, and serve as the primary point of contact for US GAAP recognition and financial policy questions. Monitor KHC policy findings for procurement leadership, manage auditor communications regarding SOX controls, and facilitate training sessions for cross-functional audiences. Supervise a team of five while communicating root causes of financial policy findings to procurement stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum 7 years of relevant management experience, in accounting with mix of general ledger, technical accounting, and audit expertise
- Exceptional written communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics for Leadership, Controllership and non-accountant cross-functional partners
- Unwavering sense of professional skepticism
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly
- Familiarity with procurement process and contracts
