Job Summary
Manage a team of process engineers and technicians to support new product line development, including equipment design, cost estimation, and global sustaining production support. Define resource requirements, recruit staff, and drive initiatives to achieve production and financial metrics while converging processes and product roadmaps across multiple business centers. Provide technical consultation for product teams, manage training schedules, and interact with management and customers to coordinate cross-organizational efforts. Evaluate technical capabilities for tooling, automation, and quality controls, and work with suppliers to ensure processes meet delivery and cost targets.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods – welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding and forming
- Basic knowledge of a core manufacturing processes
- Understanding of market and implications for business as well as understanding of business strategy and business case development
