Job Summary
Senior Manager of Public Relations & Corporate Communications at Rapid7 to lead the global PR strategy, elevate executive and expert visibility, and drive data-driven storytelling across cybersecurity and AI. Partner with Product Marketing, Threat Intelligence, Customer Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure Rapid7’s narrative influences key conversations and builds trust with customers, partners, investors, and the broader cybersecurity ecosystem. Responsibilities include owning earned media strategy, developing threat research communications programs and editorial calendars, coordinating cross-functionally to embed PR across the full-funnel strategy, navigating issues and crisis communications, and defining metrics such as share of voice, message pull-through, sentiment, and executive visibility to measure impact. The role emphasizes turning Rapid7’s expertise into differentiated market influence and elevating executives and subject-matter experts as trusted voices in cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related roles within B2B technology (cybersecurity or AI strongly preferred)
- Proven experience owning PR strategy and driving measurable earned media impact
- Strong relationships with business, technology, and cybersecurity media
- Experience managing global PR agencies and scaling programs
- Exceptional storytelling and writing skills across formats (press, bylines, executive messaging)
- Ability to operate as a strategic advisor to senior leaders
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong judgment, especially in ambiguous or high-stakes situations
