Job Summary
Evaluate potential new investments and make recommendations to the investment committee regarding pricing, returns, quantitative and qualitative risks, and adherence to guidelines. Interface with joint venture partners to evaluate new investment opportunities and track progress of existing investments. Formalize and codify the analytical framework used to evaluate investments and build a repeatable financial modeling process. Work with risk analysts to analyze consumer finance performance data to predict future portfolio performance and partner with operations to mitigate risks. Optimize reporting processes and train analysts for quarterly reviews while supporting capital markets transactions through modeling, legal review, and lender relationship management. Reports to the Chief Investment Officer with a base salary of $160,000-$190,000 plus bonus and options. Requires a BS degree, 5-7 years of consumer finance experience, and strong SQL and Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- BS or equivalent degree
- 5-7 years of consumer finance experience
- investment banking or asset management experience
- Strong data and analytics background
- working knowledge of SQL
- Strong excel skills
- direct experience building discounted cash flow models
- Must be able to participate effectively in investment committee meetings
Desired Qualifications
- investment banking or asset management experience
- Working knowledge of Intex, Wall Street Analytics, or other structured cash flow software
- Experience building and maintaining automated processes for frequently repeated tasks
- Strong Presentation / Meeting Skills
