Job Summary
Direct pharmacy utilization management operations for assigned Commercial or Government segments, managing clinical and non-clinical aspects of services while supporting managers with program monitoring and risk identification. Execute plans to achieve operational targets, reduce medical expenses, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body regulations. Lead implementation of departmental projects, evaluate industry trends to drive UM interventions, and represent the Pharmacy department on cross-functional committees and external meetings. Serve as a key liaison between frontline staff, leadership, and vendors to align priorities and remove barriers. Requires a pharmacy license and 8+ years of experience; reports to Director for escalated issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Pharmacy
- 8+ years of experience in a related field
- In lieu of degree 10+ years of experience in related field
- A current pharmacy license
- NC licensure (for some roles)
