Senior Manager, Payroll Process Design

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end payroll process design and standardization by analyzing global workflows to identify inefficiencies and harmonize systems with local statutory and tax requirements. Drive process optimization and automation using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance system efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support touchless payroll operations. Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to implement new solutions, ensuring robust internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with SOX and country-specific legal standards. Support process implementation by leading rollouts of global payroll, tax, and benefit deductions while providing training and documentation to end users. Leverage data analytics to develop KPIs and dashboards that measure process effectiveness and inform continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business analytics, operations management, or relevant field
- Seven (7) plus years of relevant work experience
- Five (5) plus years of proven relevant work experience in global payroll process design/redesign, transformation and change management
- Proficiency in evaluating existing process flows for Workday/Payroll, mapping against functionality available vs used, developing new process flows and/or implementing new functional capabilities to improve service delivery that yield a higher degree of customer centricity/intuitiveness
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax processes and statutory requirements, benefits integration within payroll
- Solid technical skills and understanding of systems architecture of Workday, ServiceNow, ADP GlobalView/Celergo, other systems/platforms
- Experience with quality management, process simulations and creating detailed standard operating procedures
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to leverage HR metrics and analytics tools
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address process gaps
- Strong project management abilities, including the capacity to support planning, execution, and monitoring projects within set timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders within all levels of an organization
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in process design and documentation
- Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility
- Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility
- For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum education of a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business analytics, operations management, or relevant field is preferred
- Familiarity with EMEA and/or APAC regions, preferred
