Senior Manager, Outreach and Membership

Senior Manager of Outreach and Membership leads AFJ/AFJ Action Campaign initiatives to deepen and expand engagement of progressive organizations, national and state advocates, AFJ members, and legal communities to elevate the importance of the courts and defending democracy, coordinating and executing events (virtual and in-person), expanding grasstop outreach, engaging organizations to oppose egregious judicial candidates and support movement lawyers, supporting the AFJ membership program, and collaborating across departments; responsibilities include planning and executing events, building relationships with national organizations and core constituencies, growing engagement across entry points (events, nominee campaigns, partnerships), coordinating presence at external meetings and conferences, implementing targeted partner engagement tactics, representing AFJ at coalition meetings, mobilizing around nonprofit defense when needed, creating content with Communications for newsletters and toolkits, maintaining data in EveryAction, and supporting internship programs; hybrid work arrangement in the Washington, DC area with travel as needed.
