Job Summary
Lead the monthly close process to produce accurate financial results by preparing and reviewing reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including cash, investments, and clinical accruals. Advise on complex accounting issues related to revenue recognition, licensing agreements, and equity transactions while drafting technical memos and maintaining general ledger entries. Conduct research on accounting standards, track new pronouncements, and assist in drafting financial statements and footnotes per regulatory standards. Serve as the key contact for external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support SOX compliance and maintain control documentation. Oversee equity plan administration to ensure accurate record-keeping for stock-based compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Biotechnology industry experience
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems

- Familiarity with clinical accruals and manufacturing processes
