Job Summary
Senior Manager - Operation Excellence acts as a strategic Chief of Staff to the VP of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD), translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, leading cross-functional initiatives, managing operating cadences, and driving continuous improvement to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Responsibilities include developing executive-level communications, managing the SQCD initiative portfolio, identifying operational risks with mitigation plans, and fostering organizational change to sustain performance improvements. The role requires strong collaboration across functions, data-driven decision-making, and ability to translate strategy into executable plans with measurable results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field from a four-year college or university
- 5+ years of applicable experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain Management & Quality
- Willingness to operate in an ambiguous environment and solve challenging problems with urgency
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Track record of successful project management and team leadership experience
- Ability to travel to Daikin’s key sites throughout the U.S & Mexico
