Job Summary
Review local, state, and federal tax returns prepared by the firm's accountants, including partnership returns and K-1s, and develop strategies to minimize tax liability. Stay current on tax legislation, track filing deadlines, and analyze financial records to produce reports and recommendations. Work closely with payroll on partner compensation processing, manage equity partner compensation models including lateral and growth scenarios, and oversee the income partner compensation process for new hires. Handle large data sets and lead special projects and process improvements. This remote role requires candidates to reside in a state where the firm has an office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in financial or professional services
- Candidates must reside in a state where the firm has an office
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of partnership, payroll, and personal income tax
