Job Summary

Senior Manager of Project Construction will oversee the execution and management of water and wastewater projects on the East Coast, largely remotely with on-site requirements. Responsibilities include preconstruction activities (design review, procurement, bidding), leading and supervising construction activities, reviewing scope, budget, and schedules, serving as the owner’s representative, conducting project progress meetings, identifying and mitigating risks, coordinating with business development for proposals, ensuring QA/QC and safety compliance, supervising field teams, and maintaining accurate cost reporting and invoicing. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered) and at least 10 years in construction management, with CCM or PE certifications preferred. Strong knowledge of CMAR/DB/DBB delivery methods, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and software/tools for project management, plus willingness to travel >50%. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management and field operations, particularly in water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Relevant certifications in water and wastewater construction management, such as CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PE (Professional Engineer)
  • Extensive knowledge of construction principles, methods, and technologies related to water and wastewater facilities
  • Familiarity with alternative delivery methods, including CMAR, DB, and DBB
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in project management software and field inspection tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to clients, public groups, and internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including data analysis and decision-making under pressure
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and mentor staff
  • Ability to prepare and manage budgets, contracts, and project costs effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (greater than 50%)
